Comprehensive Exam and Thesis Rubrics

Rubrics are important tools used by faculty to measure student learning outcomes, as well as to gauge the effectiveness of and to modify the curriculum. The basic template for designing rubrics can be found here. A small number of sample rubrics are available for consultation below.

As new academic progress are introduced and existing programs are reconfigured, the Vice Provost and Dean of Assessment will work with individual academic units to create new or updated rubrics for the assessment process.
